Course Description: This continuing education course introduces the essential principles of Biblical Counseling, equipping participants with a faith-based foundation for helping individuals navigate life’s challenges. Designed for clergy, lay leaders, counselors, and caregivers, the course emphasizes the integration of Scripture, prayer, and pastoral care within the framework of mental and emotional wellness. Through five structured sessions, participants will explore key topics such as the biblical view of human nature, the role of sin and redemption in counseling, the power of encouragement and discipleship, and the integration of faith with modern mental health practices. This course provides one hour of CEU credit toward the Certificate in Biblical Counseling offered by the Mental Health Seminary School of Continuing Education, Kingdom School of Divinity. Course Objectives: By the end of this course, participants will be able to: Define the purpose and scope of Biblical Counseling. Understand the biblical view of the human condition and its implications for counseling. Apply Scripture and prayer as tools for healing and guidance. Recognize the importance of discipleship, accountability, and encouragement in the counseling process. Integrate biblical truth with practical care strategies to support emotional and spiritual growth. Mini-Lesson: The foundation and purpose for each lesson is to offer a simple, clear, and concise explanation of the content covered, while thoroughly discussing the significant aspects and most pertinent details of each topic.
