Course Description This course examines the biblical and practical foundations of hospice and end-of-life care. It highlights how faith, Scripture, and pastoral presence play a central role in providing comfort to individuals who are terminally ill and to their families. Students will explore hospice philosophy, the importance of dignity in dying, spiritual care, family support, and the Christian counselor’s or chaplain’s role in offering Christ-centered hope. --- Course Objectives By the end of this course, students will be able to: 1. Understand the philosophy and purpose of hospice care. 2. Recognize the spiritual and emotional needs of individuals facing the end of life. 3. Apply biblical principles to comfort and counsel families during times of grief. 4. Identify practical ways to serve as a Christian counselor, chaplain, or servant-leader in hospice contexts. 5.
